Job Title: General Manager, BFSI Transformation
Location: Atlanta, Georgia (The requirement is to come to the Buckhead office at least 2-3 days a week)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) Transformation field. The ideal candidate will have deep subject matter expertise in the US context, particularly in areas such as core banking transformation, credit union management systems, retail and corporate banking, omnichannel banking, and P2P payments. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving innovation, shaping the strategic direction, and leading the execution of transformation initiatives within the BFSI domain.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of US regulations, legal framework, and industry best practices related to banking and financial services. Translate regulatory requirements into innovative and business-friendly functional solutions.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of core banking, payments, and omnichannel banking products and solutions. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
- Contribute to solution design efforts, leveraging your understanding of a typical bank's enterprise architecture. Ensure that the proposed solutions align with business objectives, customer needs, and industry standards.
- Stay well-versed in the latest technology trends and their application in BFSI transformation, including microservices architecture, cloud computing, serverless computing, and artificial intelligence. Leverage these technologies to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and business growth.
- Keep abreast of the latest fintech trends and developments, evaluating their relevance and potential impact on the banking industry. Identify opportunities for collaboration and integration with fintech partners to drive innovation and create a competitive advantage.
- Effectively present ideas, strategies, and solutions in a cohesive and innovative manner to both internal stakeholders and external clients. Articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, adapting the message to the audience's level of understanding.
- Manage and expand an existing team of professionals working on BFSI transformation initiatives. Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Contribute to the organization's thought leadership initiatives by writing articles or blogs on relevant topics within the BFSI transformation space.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of 10 -14 years in the BFSI industry, with a focus on banking transformation, product management, or related areas.
- Extensive knowledge of the US banking landscape, regulations, and legal framework.
- Strong understanding of core banking systems, credit union management systems, retail and corporate banking, omnichannel banking, and P2P payments.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and frameworks commonly used in the banking sector.
- Proficiency in solution design methodologies and tools, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Solid grasp of emerging technology trends, such as microservices architecture, cloud computing, serverless computing, and artificial intelligence, and their applications in the BFSI industry.
- Awareness of the latest fintech trends and their potential impact on banking operations and customer experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership abilities, including the capability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
- Willingness to travel, as required, to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated thought leadership through published articles, blogs, or industry contributions is a plus.
